Description
Once upon a time we would go to the Outer Banks every Christmas. Fewer people did so then. And, once upon a time the Old Hatteras Light stood defiantly at the edge of the angry Atlantic. Then the geniuses in Washington decided to save it from the ravages of the sea. So they moved it about a half a mile to the southwest. Superfluous wealth buys superfluous things.
I was tidying my portfolio this morning after a trip to my framers when I happened to see this old watercolor. It still looks pretty good to me. I hope others will enjoy this memory, too.
