We spent the Victoria Day Holiday at the campground at the Northern Rockies Lodge at Muncho Lake. A wonderful experience! After selecting our site we walked over to the lodge to treat ourselves to a lunch prepared by someone else. This is always a treat! As we approached the lodge I spotted this Maule Bush Plane tied down on the other side of the Alaskan Highway on the Lodge’s gravel and grass bush strip. From here a Bush Pilot can fly you to Virginia Falls in the Nahanni National Park in the Yukon Territory, about 60 or so air miles away or to the international Airport at Whitehorse to connect to anywhere in the world. The best way to see the North! A bunch of irresistible pictures waiting to be taken. I knew that I had to paint this one looking at the camera. I thought that I had finished this one in late January. But the lack of detail on the tundra tires has bothered me ever since. So last week I added another layer. Do that with a watercolor! I still need to get my brushes wet,...
