This is a work in progress. But I don't seem to be making much progress on this work. We met Amanda at the top of the Bakers Mountain County Park red trail and had a delightful conversation with our new friend. Her sneakers weren't really yellow, but while I was trying to paint this watercolor an old neighbor stopped by in day glow yellow sneakers and I couldn't resist taking some artistic license. My sketch was great and most of the watercolor was fast and easy, but I have not done justice to her face. This upload is the watercolor seen under my tracing paper sketch. I think the whole watercolor needs to be started over. I sure would hate to give up on a painting. Painting people is the artist's greatest test.
