Artist's Description

I hope you like this watercolor. The fellow who runs Stitts Tree Maintenance asked me to do a painting of him and his crew over a year ago. They were out at the house removing a huge pine tree and some smaller trees that had been blown down in a micro-burst last summer. I was really impressed with their work. I started a sketch and then, here�s a surprise, I got distracted. At the end of August I heard a big diesel engine in front of the house and then the door bell chimed. When I opened the door, there was Mr. Stitts filling up the door frame. He wanted to know if I had ever painted the picture of his crew. I had just returned from visiting my Dad in South Florida and needed a project to keep my mind busy, so I told him I�d paint the watercolor after I got finished with jury duty.
I really like the composition. Stitts hasn�t seen it yet, but I think he�ll like it, too. I probably should have discussed price with him before I got started. But, the rewar...
