Description
We like to vacation on the Outer Banks in winter. This was based on a visit to the beach on Christmas Day, 1995. Before well meaning people with too much access to other peoples money moved the tallest lighthouse on the east coast a quarter of a mile from the ocean's edge.

Thank you, John! We just returned from Edisto Island, where we enjoyed two spring-like days and three glorious wintertime night skies. Funny how the beach turns us into children, regardless of our age. I truly appreciate the feature. Watch your inbox -- something special is almost done. - JD
