Years ago we were leaving LA after a long deployment and rather than making a hard one-eighty and heading east for North Carolina, I said to my wife, "Let's take the long way home." And so we meandered north along the Pacific Coast Highway up to Oregon, and Washington, out to the Olympic Peninsula, and finally in East Glacier, Montana, flipped a coin, and decided to point the old Jetta TDI south for home instead of North to Alaska -- that would wait for another day... Along the way we came across this old Studebaker Tow Truck in Forks, Washington. My Dad had one just like it in the fifties, although not nearly as rusty. I took a bunch of photos and told myself that I would paint it one day. So, seventeen years later, here it is. And they say I procrastinate! Enjoy the ride!
