Artist's Description

Fifty days on the road and only a single pencil sketch. It was still a wonderful journey. This is a first sketch of an old house in Raleigh, Newfoundland that stands somewhere between inhabitation and dereliction. As I started to do the sketch I was quite unhappy with the depiction. Now I'm quite taken with the memory. A day or two to catch my breath, then into the studio for some serious efforts.
