The glow of a maritime sunset effuses the cliff above and the shore of the Bay of Fundy with magical colors. I'm glad I was there to see it -- hope I'll get to return one day. Meanwhile, this is my first draft of this subject on watercolor paper.
This is my third stab at this sunset. I don't know if I'm getting closer or further from what I want to do. Meanwhile, I got distracted by some amazing rocks and flowers up on the Blue Ridge Parkway the other day and started a pencil sketch that will probably keep me fascinated for a while. Draft II is still on my board. Isn't painting wonderful?!
