11x15 watercolor on 140# Arches cold pressed watercolor paper
One of the first �dates� (Do people who are pushing fifty have dates?) my wife and I ever went on was a hike around the Stone Mountain Loop Trail, before the rubber padded safety weenies ruined the trail, on her birthday. (I guess that means only one of us was still pushing fifty on that hike, but I digress�) We hiked the loop enjoying wonderful fall colors and made the side trip up and down the steps to the Upper Falls. Eventually the hike inspired a large watercolor that I call Birthday Girl. Don�t look for it on the website, I would have to remove it from its frame and have a flatbed scan made for that. And, anyhow, there�s something special about a painting that you only want to share with a certain person. But, we both enjoy looking at that glorious Fall Moment frozen in time everyday.
So, here is another Stone Mountain watercolor. This began...
