Description
Rainbow Natural Bridge is the largest natural bridge in the US. When we visited the bridge Lake Powell was in the beginning of it's spring refill. The blue mountain in the distance is Navajo Mountain. It's snowmelt was filling the stream under the bridge and lowering the "bathtub ring" around Lake Powell. Don't miss this day trip, and bring plenty of batteries!

Taking the boat ride to Rainbow Bridge was one of the best spur of the minute spending decisions that we've ever made. I'm working on a watercolor series depicting Valley of Fire right now, but while I'm in the same tone and color palette I ought to finally get around to painting this one.
